Privacy Policy

Last updated: 16 August 2026. Version 1.0. This policy explains what personal data Inkmate collects, why, and what you can do about it.

Who is responsible

The seller of the service and the controller of your personal data is Marko Radeljic, Kraljevec 53, 10000 Zagreb, Croatia, reachable at support@inkmate.space.

What we collect

  • Account data: email address, password (stored hashed), role, display name, country.
  • Profile data you choose to add: bio, location, links, style tags, age ranges, availability, published works, portfolio images, pitches, briefs and submissions.
  • Activity in the app: likes, passes, matches, messages and submission statuses.
  • Consent records: which policy version you accepted and when, and your cookie choice.
  • Billing data: subscription plan, status and renewal date. Card details are handled by our payment provider and never stored by Inkmate.
  • Technical data needed to run the service: IP address and basic request logs.

Why we use it, and on what legal basis

  • To provide the service and your account — performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • To take payment for your subscription — contract and legal obligation.
  • To keep the service secure and prevent abuse — legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • To send optional product emails and to set non-essential cookies — your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.

Who processes it for us

  • Hosting, database, authentication and file storage — our cloud infrastructure provider.
  • Payments, invoicing, tax and refunds — Paddle.com Market Ltd, our authorised reseller and Merchant of Record. We share your email address, country and subscription details with Paddle so it can take payment and issue invoices. Paddle acts as an independent controller for that data; see paddle.com/legal/privacy.
  • Transactional email — our email provider.
  • Newsletters and product announcements — an email marketing provider. Only the name and email address of people who ticked the marketing opt-in are shared, and you can withdraw that consent at any time from Account and privacy or by unsubscribing in any such email.

These processors act on our instructions under data processing agreements. Where data is transferred outside the EEA, it is covered by Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

  • Account, profile and activity data: while your account exists.
  • After you delete your account: removed without undue delay, and within 30 days at the latest.
  • Invoices and billing records: kept by the payment provider for the statutory period.
  • Security logs: up to 12 months.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict and object to the processing of your data, and the right to data portability. You can download all of your data and delete your account yourself from Account settings. You can also lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.

Cookies

We use a strictly necessary cookie to keep you signed in. Any analytics or non-essential cookies are only set after you accept them in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time in Account settings.

Children

Inkmate is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
